According to an exclusive report from MyDaily on June 24, Jun Ji-hyun, who joined the agency in 2022, is expected to part ways with IEUM HASHTAG, signaling her entry into the highly competitive free agent (FA) market. The agency, helmed by long-time collaborator CEO Kim Sun-jung, has managed Jun’s career through several major projects, but it appears their partnership is coming to a natural end.
This news follows the recent departure of Kim So-hyun, another high-profile actress who joined IEUM HASHTAG around the same time and has also opted not to renew her contract.

An industry insider commented, “Jun Ji-hyun is expected to enter the FA market. She’s considered one of the biggest names out there, and the industry is showing immense interest.” Another source added that the actress is currently reviewing offers from several major entertainment labels, carefully evaluating which agency aligns best with her ambitions.
However, on July 7, Jun Ji-hyun officially announced the establishment of her new agency, PEACHY COMPANY. In a statement, the company shared:
“PEACHY is a management agency that values depth, restraint, and the beauty of simply being. As someone who cherishes authenticity and the natural power of inner expression, Jun Ji-hyun has created PEACHY not just as a management company, but as a space to fully embody her depth, elegance, and inner beauty — both as an actress and a human being.”

Jun Ji-hyun expressed her thoughts on the launch, saying:
“Having lived as an actress for a long time, I needed time to reflect on myself and explore new directions. PEACHY is a choice that reflects who I am today — a starting point to focus more deeply on what truly matters.”
PEACHY COMPANY also revealed its future plans, stating:
“Starting with the management of Jun Ji-hyun, we plan to expand into various content-related ventures. Our goal is to go beyond traditional artist management, creating a system where an actor’s life and creative expression are naturally intertwined.”

Having made her debut in 1997 as a fashion model for Ecole magazine, Jun Ji-hyun has since become one of Korea’s most iconic and beloved stars. Nicknamed the “Queen of Commercials”, she has remained a top-tier celebrity thanks to her successful runs in both film and television. Her filmography includes Il Mare, My Sassy Girl, Windstruck, The Thieves, The Berlin File, and Assassination, while her TV hits include Happy Together, My Love from the Star, The Legend of the Blue Sea, and her acclaimed appearances in Kingdom Season 2 and Kingdom: Ashin of the North.

Jun’s next chapter already appears promising with the upcoming Disney+ original series “Polaris”, in which she stars as Moon-ju, a former UN ambassador and globally respected diplomat. The plot centers around Moon Ju and Sanho (played by Kang Dong-won) as they uncover a high-stakes international conspiracy. The series is set to premiere in the latter half of 2025.
